CULINARY ARTS CENTER ON BOARD HOLLAND AMERICA LINE
The Culinary Arts Center is presented by Food and Wine Magazine. The Culinary Arts Center is available on all Holland America Line cruise ships. The line schedules classes throughout the day on both sea and port days to fulfill the demand for the culinary program. The classes range from seasonal cuisine to fruit and vegetable art. These fun and flavorful classes enable guests to learn from the line’s professional culinary staff how to discover the fine art of entertaining. Itinerary themed cooking demonstrations focus on the ship’s sailing region, and bring the local flavors on board. Local market tours are available in select ports of call.

The Culinary Arts Center has an innovative show kitchen outfitted with multiple plasma video screens to ensure you are able to see the finer details close-up.
You may also sign up to join the resident Culinary Arts Center Host for an intimate “hands-on” cooking class, or attend the popular cooking demonstrations in the theatre with talented chefs and special guest experts.
Special workshops and lively demonstrations for children and teens offer basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety and recipe instruction. Workshops are offered in two age groups: ages 3 to 7 and ages 8 to 15. Demonstrations are open to all ages.
Shake it up with signature cocktail classes and bartending tips from their bar staff, or try new wine and food pairings. You will learn how to make world class cocktails from one of the ship’s bartenders. Wine tastings by the Cellar Master and Party Planner are also available on every cruise.
Dinner at the Culinary Arts Center – On ms Koningsdam, the Culinary Arts Center transforms into a dinner concept, an immersive farm-to-table experience where the chefs prepare simple, artisanal dishes in the show kitchen and guests enjoy each course as it is freshly prepared. Each meal will emphasize fresh sourced selections while incorporating select ingredients harvested from a glass-enclosed growing area just off the kitchen.
