Day 1 – Arrival and Check-In
The Napa River Inn is the only locally-owned luxury boutique hotel in historic downtown Napa, ideally situated in the Historic Napa Mill, a National Registered Landmark built in 1884. The Inn provides guests with gracious accommodations and friendly, personalized service in a unique two-and-a-half acre riverfront setting.
Cave Tour and Barrel Tasting with Small Bites
Enjoy the experience of fine wines, spectacular architecture, moving music and delicious food. This is a wine experience, and not just a tasting. Walking along the elegant chandelier-lined cave, you will learn the history of wine while tasting the finest French and American oak barrels. Following your tour, finish off the experience with additional bottled wine tastings paired with rare meats and cheeses, and a delicious chocolate and port pairing.
Day 2 – Sweetie Pies Bakery Breafast
Each morning you will have breakfast on your balcony from Sweetie Pies Bakery. The vista from your terrace overlooks the river and the gardens, which soften the mood, and sets the state for your first meal of the day. Begin with fresh squeezed juice, and then choose your favorite type of eggs; scrambled, poached or have the breakfast quiche. Add bacon or sausage, or possibly some crunchy Frency toast, and you have the beginning of a wonderful day in Napa Valley.
Hands On Cooking Class with Dinner
Indulge your taste buds with one of Napa’s finest cooking school’s hands-on class. In their state-of-the-art kitchen, you will use some of the finest equipment available along with fresh, seasonal ingredients from their very own farm to prepare delicious meals. You will do your cooking under the guidance of a professionally trained chef. There will be a brief introduction, and then you will be given various seasonal recipes to prepare. Once the dishes are completed, everyone will come together to enjoy the meal that you just prepared.
