Antojeria Mexican Street Food occurs every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Surrounding the Coral Grill find things transformed into a traditional Mexican street food affair. All of the different food stations feature fresh, fish, grilled steaks and chickens together with a generous selection of tapas. Prices are a la carte, plus taxes and fees. A sampling of the menu follows:
Quesadillas – Poblano chili with cream, oaxaca cheese and squash blossoms
Sopes – Beans, tomato sauce, farmer’s cheese and octopus ‘al ajillo’ (sauteed in garlic, chili and oil)
Tamales – Masa colada wrapped in banana leaves with sweet corn on totomoxtil
Soup de la Abuela – Black beans, serrano chilies, oaxaca cheese, epazote and crispy tortillas
Tomatillo Salad – Green beans, corn, tequila and lime vinaigrette

Tequila and Ceviche Tasting every Wednesday from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. The tasting is directed by a Tequila Maestro for an afternoon of delectable ceviche and tequila tastings. You will have a generous serving of a regional tequila, paired with a fresh assortment of ceviche tapas. The Viceroy Riviera Maya boasts two restaurants: Coral Grill & Bar features “Al fresco cuisine” which highlights locally caught and responsibly-fished seafood, as well as local organic produce. The Coral Grill also has home made pizzas that are baked in a wood-fired oven. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
La Marea Restaurant offers a variety of daily specials, and chef’s recommendations in fresh seafood, and prime cuts of meat. They are only open daily for dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. With seven appetizers, two soups, four salads and 10 entrees you are sure to find plenty of to satisfy your palate.
Chef’s Table – The Executive Chef will select the freshest ingredients to prepare a memorable dining experience inspired by the cuisine of the Mayan culture that is known for its rich and unique flavors. This seven course meal is enhanced with select boutique wines. $85 per person plus taxes, and prices are subject to change.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Luxury Villas, Royal Villas, Signature Villas, Premium Villas, Ocean View Villas, Beachfront Villas and the Ocean View Two-Level Villas (two bedrooms). All villas have heated private plunge pools. The Beachfront and Ocean View Two-Level Villas come with dedicated butler service.
There are seven miles with white sand beachfront just steps from the resort. 350 feet of white sand beach is meticulously maintained with palapa-roofed cabanas. At the Viceroy there is a private pier that provides access past the break waters for snorkeling, and it is only for Viceroy guests. The resort will gladly arrange adventure excursions such as sky diving (the staff is trained and certified by the U.S. Parachute Association), kite surfing, all terrain vehicle tours, cave system tours, Cenote diving and snorkeling, spider monkeys biosphere tours or horseback riding. There are also cultural excursions to Playa del Carmen, archeological site excursions, explore Playa del Carmen or explore Cozumel.
JUNGLE SPA: This resort is known for its excellent spa and wellness amenities. It features stress relief, Mayan traditions, signature experiences, facials, body treatments and beauty services. Open 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily, and reservations should be made 24 hours in advance.
